IT Business World
As of today there are over 1 million IT jobs available in USA.
If you are reading this article, it means that you have thought about working in IT, or maybe looking to move forward with your IT Career.
Anything from Desktop Support to Programming, these are the jobs available to us right now and yet some of us still may not have courage or sense of self-worth to apply for any of these jobs.
But, why is that?
Take time to read any of job descriptions and honestly ask yourself if you can do this job or not… Do not read it and look for that one thing that you are not familiar with and decide to quit. It is important to accept the facts about your own capabilities and vouch to improve upon them.
Job descriptions are very cookie cutter and may not reflect 100% entirety of a job, but simply mention of things that you may encounter during your employment. Everything you read within a job ad provides a general description of it, but of course, there are some exceptions where certain skills are necessary.
Here is an example:
Requirements to this job:
- Applicant must be familiar with SQL.
- Candidate needs minimum of 5 years doing Project Management.
- Associate must have a Master’s degree in Computer Programming.
Yes, you can work an IT job with minimal experience and this should be the least of your worry, because if you do not make firm decision to start from somewhere, you will get nowhere. If an entry level IT position presents itself, you may have to go for it in order to move on.
Look at this way; if you get an entry-level IT position it will lead you towards better opportunities and more money by granting you experience you need. There is absolutely nothing wrong- with an entry level position, even if you have a Master’s Degree.
Acquiring real world experience should be priority number one in any field regardless of education level.
Before you go for an interview be sure to prepare properly in order to be 100% confidante, in order to succeed.
