elon musk smoking marijuana weed
In some of the latest news, we’ve seen Elon Musk smoke marijuana, but is this really a problem for the progress when it comes to SpaceX and the future of mankind? I’m sure you could agree that the future of mankind requires a clear mind and if that involves relaxing occasionally then I’m okay with that. I mean seriously, if you were under as much stress as he is – then I’m sure you’d look for ways to relax as well.
If you’re wondering where this marijuana smoking happened, it was during Joe Rogan’s podcast on YouTube where he invited Elon Musk to participate as a guest. Needless to say, this interview was very fascinating because Elon Musk opened up not only about the technology but also a little bit about his personal life which made him seem more like human. At some point, they joked that Elon Musk is an alien; mainly because Joe Rogan was questioning on how Elon has enough time to work on anything else but Tesla. “How do you find time to do all this?”.
Currently, Elon is working on three different projects; Tesla, SpaceX and now a commercial flight project called BFR, which is a code name for the spaceship used in this endeavor. This announcement was made in relation and support by a Japanese clothing company as the first investor. No official cost for each passenger has been announced however the investor has decided to pay for multiple passengers. I do appreciate the Elon Musk’s comments that this project has a chance to fail and that each trip will be incredibly dangerous. Realistic approach indeed…
Project BFR plans are to carry up to 100 passengers and the flight time around the Moon would take anywhere between 5 to 6 Earth days. In my opinion, Elon musk’s ability to drive space race towards commercial space travel and towards the future of man’s kind is a much-needed step for humanity.
As one of the last remarks and slightly related to marijuana smoking, Tesla stock dropped by around 5% on that same day and the following week went back up. Some people pointed out that a couple of high-level management Tesla employees resigned on that same week which is probably unrelated to what happened during Joe Rogan’s podcast… Of course, I have no way of knowing whether any of these facts are related at all but I just think it’s fascinating.
